August 2012 Prayer Letter

The Lord kept us safe as we transitioned to our new city this past month. We are thankful for the opportunity that we have to advance the gospel to a new city in China.

We are moved into our new house and are trying to get settled down. We have been exploring the city and are excited about the opportunities here.

This month I would like yo ask you to pray for the following:

First, that we would be able find a school and obtain our visas. I have been looking at several schools. We are in the process of applying to them. This will help us obtain new visas before ours expire next month. Pray that I will choose the right school that can help me improve my language abilities and where we can reach out to the students on campus.

Second, we are starting to have Bible studies in our home on Sunday and Wednesday. We don’t plan on starting a church until we return from our furlough, but we want to start planting seeds. We have had one unbeliever visit our home and participate in the Bible study already. Pray the Lord will open doors for us to reach out to the city. Pray for souls to be saved.

Third, pray for our upcoming furlough (Dec.-Feb.). Our schedule is full and we are going to be busy during that time. Our desire is to be more than busy during this time, but we want raise up more laborers to join our team in China.

Finally, pray for God to raise up more laborers. Pray that Chinese young men surrender their lives to the ministry and advance the gospel here in this city and around the world. Pray for more foreign missionaries to surrender their lives to bring the gospel to the parts that have yet to hear.

Thank you for being a part of our team, Project China, with your prayers and financial support!
