January 2013 Prayer Letter

Our desire is that Jesus would be high and lifted up. I pray that as we start this new year, we will have the courage to live for HIm in spite of what the future holds!

As I stated last month, we are back in the U.S.A. for a short furlough.

We are arrived at the beginning of December and hit the ground running. We had nine meetings scheduled but were only able to make eight of them because of the snow storm in Ohio. I enjoyed each meeting and preaching at all of them. I am humbled at the good churches that Lord allows us to partner with.

Also, I had the privilege of teaching a course on Persecution at F.B.B.I. in Maryville, Tennessee.

We ended the year at the annual Our Generation Summit in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This was our highest attended conference and our team of missionaries and Vision Baptist Church did an excellent job of hosting this event! I pray there will be more witnesses who surrender their lives to spread the gospel around the world.

By the end of December, our family was worn out and everyone was sick and staying sick, so we decided to make a major schedule change for January. I canceled our meetings scheduled for January to allow adequate time for our family to rest and recover as needed. We are now living in Georgia and attending our home church.

Please be in prayer this month over the following:

  • Health – Most of our family has been sick since we have arrived back in the U.S.A. and we have been to the doctor’s office several times.
  • Travel – We will be doing some travel before we leave. Pray for safety.
  • Interns – We would love to return with more interns coming to with us to China.

Thank you for being a part of our team, Project China, with your prayers and financial support!

P.S. In preparation for the church plant, we are raising $7,500 for the initial cost of planting the church. Gifts have already been given to take care of the rent for the year and we are at 33% of our goal. If you would like to help out financially with this new church plant, you can send all gifts to: Project China, P.O. Box 442, Alpharetta, GA, 30009, Note: “China Church Planting”.
