Right Thinking (4 of 4) Not Positive Thinking

The use of multiple terms that can be used interchangeably can cause some confusion. I titled this series “right thinking” hoping to distinguish the way that we as Christians should think versus what the world labels as “positive thinking”.

There might be some similarities between the two but there is one great difference… our positive thinking is to think high of God and low of ourselves not high of ourselves.

The world tells you to think highly of yourself. To look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how great you are. But Christians aren’t suppose to boast in themselves, we boast in God.

Salvation is all from God and by God. We have no place to boast in ourselves.

Our motto is “by the grace of God I am what I am”.

The way a Christian chooses to think should be rooted in and flows out of the grace of God.

Think right.
