September 2014 Prayer Letter

Our great God has allowed us to return safely home, here in China. What an awesome privilege we have to serve our God in the largest nation in the world!

Family Update: As we reported last month our newest little girl was born healthy on July 23. She is doing well and is growing like a weed. We waited around for the required amount of time to get her birth certificate, passport and then visas for the family. On September 1st, we left and are now back in China.

Churches Update: We have attended both churches, and both seem to be doing good. Their attendance is low, but that is normal for the summer and should pick back up now that the school year has started again. The core group of people who were leading and serving in the churches while we were gone have grown. I am proud of them for going through the persecution they did and still going forward and serving the church. It was exciting to return and see that two young men were out passing flyers for the church the day before!

Raising Support: We are trying to raise extra funds and support in the three following areas:

  1. 10% more personal/ministry support (about 10 new supporters).
  2. $2,000 to help cover the cost of the new visas and passports.
  3. $1,600 for the house churches who had their offerings confiscated.

Please be in prayer with us about these financial needs. If you can help, you can send all love offerings or support to Vision Baptist Missions, PO Box 442, Alpharetta, GA 30009. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Thank you for being a part of our team, Project China, with your prayers and financial support!
