February 2015 Prayer Letters

God is so good. He is so good to us! We are unworthy of all the daily blessings that the Lord pours out on our family and ministry, but we are thankful for it!

Church Update: In the last two months we have seen great growth at the church. Our weekly attendance has risen, we are having new visitors just about every week, and we have several who are in the process of becoming new members of the church. We are preparing for March, when many of those who have traveled for the holidays will return. Also, at that time we will be launching an English service that we have planned for several months now.

Women’s Ministry: As our church grows, my wife has continued to build the women’s ministry. This month they had an activity where they made dumplings at our house. It was very festive, and one of the ladies my wife has worked with gave a devotional!

Kids’ English Bible Club: We had our highest attendance since last month. The club seems to be doing real good, and it has worked great for us to be able to meet new people. We recently had a family from the club in our home for a meal to get to know them better. We have stopped the club for two weeks, during the Chinese holidays, and will restart near the end of the month.

Family Update: We took a much-needed mini-vacation this month. Ministry demands are at its lowest in February, so we enjoyed a few days in the Philippines, which also served as our visa run.

Giving Opportunity: With our unique situation, we had to move the church in Dalian several times in the past year. Then we had to do something new, which for us meant renting commercial space for the church. The space is more than the church can afford, but it seems to have solved some of our other issues. We are growing quicker here than at any other place. The rent is about $819. We have paid the first three months up front and were generously given another three months. We still have $4,914 to be paid for the next six months or $2,457 every three months. We are praying for the Lord to provide the funds needed to cover the final amount in the new place, which will allow the church to save up their money and grow into the space.

Thank you! We know that we couldn’t do anything without the help of God’s people. Thank you for giving, praying, and being a part of our team, Project China.
