January 2016 Prayer Letter

We are looking forward to this new year and thankful for all that God did this past year. God has made His face to shine on us in Christ Jesus. He has been gracious and faithful to us every step of the way. Our pray for this New year is to continue to be edified and used greatly for His honor and glory.

Christmas Outreach Update: Praise the Lord we had a good turn out for the Christmas outreach that the kids’ club hosted last month. Several came and visited our church that night. Also, on Christmas Day and the Sunday following we were able to give out over forty books about the true meaning of Christmas. Please pray for the unbelievers who received them will read it and we could follow-up with them.

Church Update: The church is continuing to grow, although things are slowing down as we go into the Chinese holiday season. We praise the Lord for the man who we reported about getting saved last month has been baptized and joined the church. A lot of our workers and members will be returning to their hometowns for the Spring festival and we will most likely have some out-of-town visitors over the next month or so. Please pray for the believers to boldly take the gospel back to their families and for the visitors to hear and believe the gospel.

Pray for young men to be raised up to lead this church and help us start more churches. We have several young men serving in the church but none have made commitments to full-time ministry.

Family Update: Our health issues are about the same as last month. We are doing better than before, but are still dealing with certain issues. Also, please continue to pray as we need to raise some additional monthly support, but won’t be making any trips back to the States in the near future.

Teammates Update: Our teammates are finishing up deputation and will be moving to join us and start language school at the end of this month. Please pray for them as they make this transition. Also, we are in contact with others who might be moving in this direction!

Thank you! We know that we couldn’t do anything without the help of God’s people. Thank you for giving, praying and being a part of our team, Project China.
