April 2016 Prayer Letter

Please praise the Lord and be in prayer with us over the following:

  • Easter Sunday was one of our best attended services. We are continuing to see new visitors every week at the church. Praise the Lord. Please pray that the Lord will save them as they hear the preaching of the gospel.
  • The lady that we reported about last month got baptized on Easter Sunday and another young man who had been coming to the church made a decision to believe in Jesus and was also baptized. Both joined the church membership.
  • The husband of a couple who has come to the church for a while also joined our church last month. Pray with us for his wife as she is learning more about what it really means to be a Christian.
  • Our teammates who are in language school are doing a great job and have been a blessing to the ministry here already. Continue praying for them as they learn the language.
  • We hosted a Chinese seminary graduated for a little less than a month internship from our teammate’s ministry in Harbin. It was a blessing to have him here for a short time and we pray the Lord will use him greatly as he starts the ministry the Lord has for him.
  • We had the stomach bug go through our whole family except for my wife. We are all better now and are thankful for restored health.
  • We were able to purchase a 2008 Buick van that seats seven. This will be a huge blessing to our family and others. We had 97% of the funds that we needed, but are still in need of about $350 to cover all the expenses for this!  We are excited and blessed to be able to have this vehicle.
  • We could use an additional $250 of monthly support. Please pray that we will be able to raise this or more over the next year while we are still on the field.
  • We have one young man who has said that he wants to be a pastor and has started part-time training at the church. He is studying at the church in the mornings and working in the afternoons to pay off debt. Please pray for him as the Lord works in His heart and He prepares to serve the Lord full-time one day.

Thank you! We know that we couldn’t do anything without the help of God’s people. Thank you for giving, praying and being a part of our team, Project China.
