Having a High View of God

David is coming to the end of his life and in these final chapters of 1 Chronicles he exhorts his son Solomon to build to the Temple of the Lord. Then he challenges the people with all that he has prepared and encourages them to willingly give to the service of the LORD and “with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD (vs. 9).” This caused David to bless the LORD before all the congregation and from the words of David you know He has a high view of God. A high view of God simply means that you see Him for who He really is. He is not a genie in a bottle but He is “head above all.” Can I challenge you to read and pray through these few scriptures and see the greatness of our God as David did!

1 Chronicles 29:10-13

“Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. (11) Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. (12) Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. (13) Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
