June 2010 Prayer Letter

All things that happen in our lives, as a born again Christians, somehow are working together for the good purpose of making us like Jesus. Romans 8 states “and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose…to be conformed to the image of his Son…” So as we travel this amazing journey, we have this confidence and hope in Him, that the trial we are in and the things that are taking place our lives right now are good, because they are making us more like HIM!

Our Baby: On Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 6:35 AM our little baby boy was stillborn. Many of you have been praying for us and following the updates about “Our Baby,” and we thank you. He weighed 3 lb. and 2 oz. We named him Wesley Allen Wei. The following Saturday we had a graveside service and buried our precious second child. We are thankful the Lord gave us this child. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away; blessed be the name of the LORD. As the baby lived in the womb, we praised the Lord for it, and now that he has passed on, we will continue to praise the Lord!

Also, we are thankful that my wife’s is healthy and had a safe delivery with no complications on her end. Continue to remember our family during this time.

Departure: Praise! Our visas have been approved and issued. We requested more days on our visa than is usual and it was approved. We have less than 70 days before we leave for the field!

Support: It is awesome to see God provide. I can’t wait to see what He is going to do in the these final days to bring in the rest of our support! The question is not “if” but “who?” Who is God going to use? Could it be you? We have seen 4 new churches partner with us this past month and our new support level is 81%. We only need approximately 14 more churches to partner with us.

Setup Fund: Our setup fund is building. Each month we are saving personally and many are giving generously. We have just a few items left, and we know the Lord will proved. We need to have money in hand for a year’s worth of rent ($6,000) which will be payed down at the time of signing the contract. We have our final shipping expenses & customs fees ($2,000) to send some of our things over. Finally, we are planning on getting a vehicle and still need to raise our final funds for that as well ($3,000).

Thank you for being a part of our team, Project China, with your prayer and financial support!
