You know it is cold when…

You know it is cold when…

  • …you can see your breath.
  • …you bring out the big “warm” coat.
  • …it starts to snow.
  • …your nose hairs stick together.

You know it is really cold when…

  • …you can still see your breath after you get in a taxi or on a bus.
  • …your daily attire consist of multiple layers of clothing including gloves, hat, and scarf.
  • …ice forms on the inside of windows or doors at stores and restaurants.
  • …your eye lashes stick together.

You know it is really really cold when…

  • …when 32 degrees sounds warm.
  • …you are amazed at how many layers you can wear at one time and still feel cold.
  • …ice sculptures are placed outside without fear of melting.
  • …the cold makes any exposed part of your body hurt.

You know it is really really really cold when…

  • …<we will find out in the next couple months from what I hear.>

Ah, life in the North!
