Stories of God at Work | Two Souls Saved In Two Days

Our oldest daughter and I set out to spend the day passing out tracts and invite others to church. After spending several hours out on the streets, we went to a certain coffee shop to drop off flyers for them to leave on the counter for customers coming in. The owner is a Christian. There was a 30-year-old Taiwanese man there reading the Bible. I was introduced to him and encouraged to help him with his understanding of the gospel. I started a conversation with him and that led to about two hours of sharing the gospel. By the end of the conversation, he was in tears, and finally, he lifted his head and looked me in the eyes and said, “I believe!” Praise Jesus! The next morning, I took an Uber to a friend’s house. I prayed for the Lord to give me boldness to witness to the driver. Once I was in the car, I started talking with the 34-year-old Taiwanese driver. Come to find out, this man had never been to church, but he had watched preaching on YouTube. He was interested but didn’t have a full understanding of the gospel. We talked the whole car ride and once we arrived at the destination we continued to talk until he bowed his head and prayed to the Lord for salvation. Praise the Lord for saving another sinner!

Women’s Ministry | A Prudent Wife Is From the Lord

There are so many things that happen behind the scenes that go into getting a church plant going. In our ministry, I am blessed with a wife who is willing to serve and as a result, our family and ministry are blessed. Not only does she manage the household, but she builds discipleship and evangelism relationships with those that she can. She serves in serval ministries, which include: playing the piano and singing during our services; teaching a children’s Sunday School class; hosting a nursery when needed; leading a mom’s Bible study in Chinese with unbelievers; teaching a kid’s English club on Friday nights as an outreach to the community. As the Lord gives the increase, she will train others to take over many of these ministries and become the spiritual mother to many women here on the field.

Online Ministry | Reaching Into the Mainland From Taiwan

As many of you are already aware, the borders of China have been temporarily closed because of COVID-19 and many have had to move their services online, some using video and some just audio. Not only China, but many around the world have moved to online services for a short time. Thus, I was also challenged by this to try a “live interactive online service” to encourage and challenge the believers in mainland China. (Note: In Taiwan, we were never required to stop meeting in person.) On April 2nd, we hosted our first service and have hosted a service online every other week since then. The believers there seem to really enjoy it and many have even prepared songs and shared testimonies as the service online is interactive. One of the blessings, that I wasn’t expecting, is that we have had believers join us not only from multiple cities in China but also from the villages. There are two villages that I know about specifically, neither have I personally been to, but I was able to preach there through technology. Apart from these online meetings, I am hosting a weekly class with the pastors to train and encourage them in the Lord. Since my “in-person” outreach was hindered in the mainland, this “online” outreach has been a tremendous blessing.

Church Plant Update | Our Church Plant Is Two Months Old

We have now completed the second month of our church plant. We had around 8 first time visitors in the month of April. We had a high day on Easter of 22 people in attendance with 3 first time visitors. Besides our family and visitors, we now have around 6 who are faithfully attending every Sunday. We are still limited in some of what we can do, but each day we are taking more liberty as people are more at ease and willing to attend different outreaches, etc. Please keep praying for: (1) the salvation and discipleship of those coming; (2) young men to reach and train for ministry.

We know that we couldn’t do anything without the help of God’s people. Thank you for giving, praying, serving, and being a part of our “China Ministry” team. We are especially fond of you! Let us continue pressing forward and keep fighting the good fight. May we strive every day to know Jesus, to be happy in Him, and to make Him known!

COVID-19 | Updates From Taiwan And China Concerning the Coronavirus

The COVID-19 virus has spread around the world and is causing interruption to “normal life” in every place it reaches. This is an unusual time in our world. We are unfamiliar with this type of pandemic. We are uncertain about what is going to happen. Everyone is dealing with unexpected situations. Governments are taking unprecedented actions. The future is filled with unknowns. But as believers we know that even though we will have tribulation in this world we can set our minds at rest because we know and believe that Jesus has overcome the world! (John 16:33)

Taiwan: WE ARE STILL ON THE FIELD! The island of Taiwan has had little exposure to the COVID-19 virus and with the early adoption of early prevention measures they have been able to keep the virus from spreading in any major way. Thus, we are not on lockdown but able to go about our normal lives but with caution. Temperature checks, face masks, and hand sanitizer is a common part of life now. Our current concern is that Taiwan has barred entry of “foreign nationals” to keep combating the virus from coming into the island. This includes American citizens. We currently are allowed to stay until mid June before we need to make another visa run. But with the current regulations in place, and if they don’t change by then, we will not be allowed to re-enter and we won’t have a choice but to return to the USA until the ban is lifted. Obviously this in not what we are wanting or hoping for, but we know all is in the Lord’s hands. Please pray for this ban to be lifted or for a way to process our visas.

China: The situation in China is continuing to improve as they slowly open back up after being on lockdown for such a long time. Many of the local churches are still unable to assemble physically, apart from those who live in the same complex as the meeting location, thus they are continuing to host online services with those who can’t assemble. Also, I have started meeting with the churches online every other week to preach to them and try to encourage them through this difficult time.

Stories of God at Work | China: Face Masks and Gospel Tracts

Last month we put out a need on social media for face masks to be sent to the believers in China so they could have them for their personal protection but also so they could give them out to the community and use it as an opportunity to preach the gospel to them. Many of our friends, family and supporters responded to the need and mailed face masks directly to China. The believers there want me to tell you, “Thank you for loving us. May God bless you.” Then I started receiving updates of them hitting the streets and going to houses with face mask and tracts in hand preaching the gospel. Praise the Lord, one lady received Christ so far! Keep praying for their bold witness in mainland China!

New Church Plant Update | Our Church Plant Is One Month Old

We have now completed the first month of our church plant in this unusual time. We had over 15 different individuals visit the church. Around 8 of those 15 have come more than once, with a few coming regularly. Because of our current situation (visa and virus), we have been limited to some of the outreach ideas that we have, but Lord willing, we will be able to do them in the future. The church was also blessed financially this month with two special offerings and the normal offerings in the services. We were blown away. Please keep praying for the salvation and discipleship of those coming. Also, be praying as we seek young men to reach and train for ministry.

Thank you!

We know that we couldn’t do anything without the help of God’s people. Thank you for giving, praying, serving, and being a part of our “China Ministry” team. We are especially fond of you! Let us continue pressing forward and keep fighting the good fight. May we strive every day to know Jesus, to be happy in the Him, and to make Him known!

Stories of God at Work  | Three “Graces” From The Lord

Last month I reported about the work in China and the struggles they were having due to the Wuhan Coronavirus—mainly the inability to meet together for church services because of the different housing complexes being quarantined—meaning they only allow you to enter the area if you live there. But this didn’t stop them from hosting prayer meetings and services via the internet. This month I want to report on three “graces” that the Lord gave Charles, the Chinese pastor leading Grace Baptist Church in Dalian, China. First, he and his wife were able to teach more than 20 families through 3 different groups via the internet on WeChat about marriage and family. It was a mix of unbelievers and believers all who were “self-quarantining” at their own houses because of the virus outbreak. Speaking about this, he said, “I hope they can believe in Jesus through this and glorify God in their marriage. I hope China can have many Christian families and more people to be saved.” Second, his father recently believed in Jesus after being witnessed to for around 26 years. When he heard the news, he said, “I couldn’t stop crying. I especially thanked the Lord, I know that the Lord heard our prayers.” Third, even though the Chinese believers haven’t been able to meet together physically, many of them were still faithful in their tithes and offerings over this past month through online giving.

New Church Plant Update | First Service: Sunday, March 1st, 2020

By the end of last month, we completed the following: the glass door on the store front was installed; all the chairs were purchased and delivered; our signs and banners were designed and installed; Bibles were purchased; songbooks, tracts, invitations, flyers, etc, were all printed and ready; around one-thousand invitations were distributed and we sent invites out through social media and different internet websites.  Thus, on Sunday March 1st, we had the first service of Victory Baptist Church, New Taipei City, Taiwan at 10:30 AM. We had two Taiwanese visitors who were both unbelievers and a missionary friend show up. Sunday evening at 7:00 we had our second service and we had a family of four attend, who also were all unbelievers. Praise the Lord I was given liberty to preach the gospel at both services. Pray for the salvation of these six Taiwanese souls! This soft launch of the church plant means that we are starting regular services three times a week. We are excited about seeing many souls reached with the gospel and many churches planted here in Taiwan. We can’t wait to lead our first soul to the Lord here in Taiwan. Please be praying as we are giving the gospel out!

Prayer Requests & Praises | Five Special Requests, Visa Run To South Korea

  • Please continue to pray for the five prayer request mentioned last month: Family—to stay unified in the Lord and health; Evangelism—for boldness, for hearts to be prepared and for Holy Ghost conviction; Language—clarity in the language as we teach the Word of God in the Chinese language; Men—a harvest of young men who are willing to be trained up in the Lord and serve Him full-time; Glory—that in all things we will glorify God.
  • Praise the Lord for a safe trip to and from Seoul, South Korea last month for a visa run. Also, while we were there, we were able to get more answers about our missionary visas and residence at the Taipei Mission in Korea. We still have some more paperwork we need to gather and authenticate before we can officially apply. Please keep praying that we can finish and be approved quickly.

Stories of God at Work  | A Church on Its Knees in the Midst of an Outbreak

The Wuhan Coronavirus has wreaked havoc in China. At this point it is reported that over 1,000 people have already died from the virus. Many places in China are under quarantine or they are told not to go in public places nor can they assemble in large groups. One pastor told me he was told he couldn’t have more than 3 people at his location at one time. Another pastor told me that since they can’t meet together physically, that “the church set up a prayer meeting because of the virus. Every day at 9 AM and 7 PM, at these two prayer times, the church prays together.” He then went on to describe it, “The prayer meetings have lasted for almost two weeks now. Family members of brothers and sisters in the church also attend the prayer meetings. The youngest is 8 years old. Together we read God’s Word, sing praises, encourage one another, and believe in God’s promises and will. We also pray for the world to repent…” How encouraging is it to know that in the midst of such a trial, the believers there are standing strong…on their knees! Lets join them in prayer as we #prayforchina together!

New Church Plant | Victory Baptist Church, New Taipei City, Taiwan

As we finish our setup and make the final preparations for our upcoming church plant, we are excited about what the Lord is going to do. We have rented a building, paid the deposit, one month’s rent and the realtor’s fee. We won’t be able to use the building for services until the 20th of this month, but we are excited to hopefully be holding regular services by the end of this month or the beginning of next month. Our flyers and tracts are done being designed and are now being printed. Our next immediate material needs for this church plant are: (1) Door—the location is a new store-front and we have to install the glass door; (2) Chairs—we need 30-50 chairs or stools; (3) Signage—we have two signs above the location that we can use for church advertisement.

Spiritually, we need you to pray for the following: (1) Family—our church planting team consists of the Lord and my family of seven. Pray that we can stay unified in the Lord as we enter this stage of spiritual warfare. Pray for the health of our family. (2) Evangelism—Lord willing, I will be spending a lot of time out inviting people and trying to share the gospel with the local people. Pray for boldness and for hearts to be prepared and Holy Ghost conviction as the gospel is spread forth. We can do nothing without the Lord. It is His church. (3) Language—pray for clarity in the language as I preach, my wife teaches and as we share the Word of God in the Chinese language. (4) Men—our goal is to train young men for the ministry, thus pray that God will give us a harvest of young men who are willing to be trained up in the Lord and serve Him full-time. (5) God’s Glory—pray with us that in all things we will glorify God and that the planting of this church will give God more glory as lost sinners turn from their wicked ways to saving-faith in Him through Jesus.

Prayer Requests & Praises | Finished Setup Debt Free, Visas and Residence

  • Praise! Special Need Update: The Lord answered our prayers and by the end of last month, we were setup with the necessities and debt free! All of our expenses since leaving America, landing in China and then our unexpected relocation to Taiwan has been paid for. Thank you for your sacrificial, generous, and joyful giving. We can truly say, “Where God guides, He provides!”
  • Continue to pray for our missionary visas and residence to get approved here in Taiwan. The process is a lot more cumbersome than I thought at first. We will be taking a visa run this week to South Korea and seeing about taking the next step towards in this process.

Relocation Update | Setting Up Life and Ministry in Taiwan

As we reported last month, because of some threats involving our family directly when we returned to China, we concluded that the Lord was leading us away from living in the mainland to living on the island of Taiwan. Taiwan has a total population of around 23 million. It is estimated that Christians comprise less than 1.95% of Taiwan’s population. The language we learned in the mainland, Mandarin Chinese, is the official language. Also, there are great political differences between mainland China and the island of Taiwan. One of the most important for us is religious freedom—the ability to legally start churches and preach the gospel. Thus, we are excited to use the experience we have gained to start a ministry here, as well as, continue to reach into mainland China as long as the door is open unto us.

We are now calling “New Taipei City” home—which has an estimated population of around 4 million. Lord willing, in the next month or so, we will be starting “Victory” Baptist Church here in the city! In the midst of recent happenings and all that we have been through, it seems fitting to name the church this knowing we are on the winning side. Threats, persecutions, relocations, field changes—even in the middle of all of this, we have victory in Christ! God always wins! “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57) In preparation for this new church plant, we are in the process of saving up and raising funds, which has been estimated around $15,000.

Stories of God at Work  | Seizing an Opportunity to Share the Gospel

The realtor was at our house and she brought a couple coworkers over. There was a young man among them whom I started talking to but it was hard to hold a conversation with everything going on. I prayed the Lord would give me an open door of opportunity to witness to him. The next thing I know, the others had to run an errand and they left this young man at our house. I started witnessing to him. He listened intently. He said he had never heard any of this about Jesus. He had only heard that Christians don’t worship idols but one God. He didn’t make a decision that day, but since then he has come to church (first time ever) with me and seems interested in continuing to learn more. Pray!

Special Need Update | Thank You For Giving Extravagantly and Sacrificially

We had our escrow and reentry funds on hand for our unexpected exit from China but we didn’t have anywhere near the amount needed to do a full relocation to Taiwan. Even though we had credit cards with good lines of credit, we knew this could only be a stop-gap measure and would be a hinderance if we were not able to pay them off right away. But as we felt this is where the Lord was directing, we moved by faith. We sent out a plea about our situation and you, our friends, family and supporters, took care of us in a great way. You sacrificially opened your hearts and gave to our family. I sit here humbled by your sacrifice and amazed at what God is doing. God’s people have truly taken care of God’s servant in an unexpected time of need. We estimated how much it was going to cost, but wasn’t sure exactly how much it would be, but around 85% of our actual costs has already come in or is on its way. Lord willing, by the end of this month, we will be setup and debt free! Thank you for giving.

Prayer Requests | Chinese Pastors, Paperwork

  • Continue to pray for the three Chinese pastors (Charles, Lebron, Mark) to be encouraged and emboldened in the Lord as they serve Jesus in the midst of persecution.
  • Pray for our paperwork and visas for both Taiwan and China to get approved ASAP.

December 2019 Prayer Letter

Special Announcement | From the USA to China to Taiwan

On November 11, we left Atlanta, Georgia to return to Dalian, China. A few days after our return, the Chinese pastor that we trained up was taken in by the Chinese Nation Security Bureau. Once the Chinese pastor returned, he informed us that they knew I was back in the city and they were seeking information about me to deport me from the country. We got council and prayed for guidance. We concluded that the Lord was leading us away from living in the mainland to living on the island of Taiwan. Choosing to stay would have put our ability to work in the mainland at high risk (since they were actively seeking to deport me already) and continued to put more pressure on the locals to turn over information on me.

On November 17, we left the mainland and relocated to the city of Taipei, Taiwan. There is religious freedom here similar to the USA and a wide open door for us to do ministry. This will allow us as a family to have a home base and to start a new church, but also, serve as a launching pad for us to continue making trips into the cities of Northeastern China that we were ministering in previously. God is at work in our midst, and even though I don’t understand all of it, I know that the missionary life, and even more so, the Christian life, is a series of small steps of obedience following God’s leading.

Stories of God at Work  | No Turning Back, No Turning Back

On November 24, the church of one of the men we are training was raided by the police. The members and pastor were taken into the police station and then later released. As I was trying to encourage this Chinese pastor, he sent this simple text which translates into: “The cross before me, the world behind me, no turning back, no turning back.” Amen!

Special Needs | New and Unexpected Needs: Please Give and Pray

Our move to Taiwan was unexpected. Thus, we need to raise at least $30,000 above what we were originally were raising for our Church Planting and Reentry Funds for the mainland. These additional funds will help cover the cost of resetting up life here in Taipei and, Lord willing, be debt free at the end of it. Thus after merging our previous funds with our additional needed funds, we are at 62% of our target goal. A one-time love offering will help us continue the work the Lord has given us to do. We are thankful for our partners who support us on a monthly basis, those who have recently given to help us with our other recent funds and our praying friends, but now we are asking for you to consider again a one-time love offering of any amount to help us reach these needs.

Prayer Requests and Praises | Transition, Persecution, Church Plant

  • Praise for a safe transition during our relocation and pray for our readjustment here!
  • Pray the three Chinese pastors we are training in the mainland as they lead their ministries in the midst of persecution. Pray for them to be encouraged and emboldened in the Lord.
  • Pray for our new ministry in Taipei. We are praying to get setup ASAP and be launching a church plant shortly after. Also, pray about coming over on a short-term trip to help us.

Stories of God at Work | God’s Grace in Times of Waiting

“Why?” was the question I was pondering in the back of my mind. Our visas were delayed much longer than we anticipated. We were hoping to already be back in China. But as we were running into delay after delay, I started to think about what God was going to do through this. Now we know a couple of those answers: (1) Our second oldest daughter brought a friend to church for a family revival and that friend got saved; (2) My wife was sick for a couple weeks and she finally was able to get recommended to a doctor. The doctor fit her in at the last minute and ran some test. Her blood work showed that she tested positive for Celiac Disease (and also allergic to milk and eggs). We are thankful that we now know where her problems are coming from and, Lord willing, learning the treatment to go forward. If we would have already returned to China, we wouldn’t have done this testing. So we are thankful for God’s grace in this matter. Not only theses things, but in many small ways we have seen God work over this period of waiting.

Special Announcement  | Furlough Ending: Plane Tickets Purchased

Finally, we were able to get all the paperwork needed to officially apply for our visas to China here in the States. We have already sent in our applications and purchased plane tickets. Lord willing, our visas will be issued soon and we will return to China on November 11. We are excited about this next term on the field and all that God is going to do!

Special Projects and Needs Update | 78% of Our Goal Reached

We have raised nearly $5,500 of the $10,000 needed in our Church Planting Fund and nearly $17,900 of the $20,000 needed for our Reentry Setup Fund.Altogether we have reached 78% of our total goal. If you haven’t already, would you pray about giving a one-time love offering of any amount to help us reach these needs?

Prayer Requests and Praises | Health, Family Returning to China, Thankful

  • Pray for my wife’s health as this disease means a lifestyle change for our family to deal with. Also, they mentioned that this is genetic, so our children might have it too.
  • Pray for our family of seven as we return to China and get readjusted to the language, culture, food and doing ministry in a closed country. May Jesus be glorified!
  • Praise the Lord for a wonderful furlough. We have had so many people help, sacrifice, give, bless, and love on us. We are thankful for all our supporters and your faithfulness.

Stories of God at Work | From English Teacher to Church Planter

Several years ago, I was put in contact with an American English teacher in China. His name was Austin and he was newly married to a Chinese woman. He had a heart for God and desired to make an impact for Christ in China. He was fluent in the Chinese language, but he needed more practical ministry training. As we talked, I encouraged him to take a giant leap of faith: to follow the same path of training that I had taken. And he did! He moved back to America and trained at our home church. Now he is on deputation heading back to China as a church planting missionary. Just this past month, I was honored to preach and pray at his ordination service. I can’t wait to see what God does through this man of God and his family.

Special Projects and Needs Update | 64% of Our Goal Reached

We have raised nearly $5,400 of the $10,000 needed in our Church Planting Fund—which helps covers the cost of our next church plant. We have also raised nearly $13,900 of the $20,000 needed for our Reentry Setup Fund—which helps cover the financial cost of returning to China and resetting up life there. Altogether we have reached 64% of our total goal. If you haven’t already, would you consider a one-time love offering of any amount to help us reach these needs as we plan to return to China by the end of this month?

Prayer Requests and Praises | Visas, 99% Support, Rest and Productivity

  • Please continue to pray for our visas to be granted quickly. The company we are using made an error and we have to wait until after the current Chinese holidays before we can finish the process. This could delay our return by a couple of weeks. We are still asking the Lord to allow us to return on October 28th, but we know it is all in His hands and timing.
  • Praise the Lord for all of our supporting churches. We are at 99% of our target monthly support amount. This means that we should meet budget before we return to the field. But as many of you know, a budget is just that, an estimate of our expenditures over a period of time, and like anything else in life, there are hidden costs or things we didn’t think of. Thus, even though we will, Lord willing, reach full support based on our budget, any support above and beyond will still be needed, used accordingly, and greatly appreciated. And we know that we don’t trust in money or things, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
  • Praise the Lord for rest and productivity. Since our last prayer letter, we have only had a few meetings in FL and OH because we were finishing up our furlough travels. This has allowed me to gain much needed rest and time with family over this past month. And it has given me the time to catch up on things that needed to be done for our return to China.

Mark

Stories of God at Work | Husband and Wife Saved in China

In January of this year, the location that Grace Baptist Church in China was meeting in was discovered by the police and they eventually had to relocate. The church now meets in an apartment in a housing complex. The location might not be the most ideal, but it was the opportunity that was opened to them as they were looking for a place to meet. At the end of last month, I received a picture from the Chinese pastor of a husband and wife who live in the community that they were able to lead to the Lord. Praise God who works together all things for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Special Projects and Needs Update | 52% of Our Goal Reached

We have received about $4,000 of the $10,000 needed in our Church Planting Fund which covers the following cost: building rent for one year; utilities, furniture, materials, misc. We have also received about $11,500 of the $20,000 needed for our Reentry Setup Fund which covers the following cost: plane tickets for our family of seven; housing cost for three months rent plus deposit; visas and passport renewal; furniture and appliances. Altogether we have reached 52% of our total goal. Will you consider a one-time love offering of any amount ($100, $250, $500, $1,000, etc.) to help us reach these needs before we leave in October?

Prayer Requests and Praises | New Support, Safe Travels, 12th Anniversary, Visas

  • Praise the Lord for blessing our support raising efforts over the past year. We are at 97% of our target monthly support amount. We have had several more churches mention their intention to partner with us as well. Lord Willing, we are returning to China on October 28th for our next term to start multiple churches and train more men for ministry.
  • Praise the Lord for continued safety in our travels. Since our last prayer letter, we had safe traveling mercies traveling to our meetings in: VA, GA, LA, and TN. Also, I won’t be traveling as much over these final two months as we prepare to return to China.
  • Praise the Lord for our marriage. My wife and I celebrated 12 years of marriage this past month. My wife is one special women who has been by my side through it all. I am blessed and unworthy of her, but she said, “I do” and the rest is history! I am glad, thankful, humbled, and joyful to call her my wife. I couldn’t do what I do without her.
  • Pray we will receive our visas. We are currently applying for our visas to return to China. There is much paperwork to be done, but we are asking God to grant us a smooth visa process so that we can return to China in a timely manner and continue ministry there.

Stories of God at Work | Souls Saved in China and America

I received a text message from the pastor in China that translates: “Tonight we visited the house of a church member to share the gospel with her mother. We shared the gospel several times. She believed tonight!” Praise the Lord! It encourages my heart to see them winning souls. And as they are winning souls there, we are winning them here in America while we are on furlough. Last month, a friend asked me to go out soul winning with him. That afternoon we went out and started knocking on doors in a complex near the church. At one of the doors that opened, a young black woman thought she was headed to heaven simply because she was a good person. I asked if we could share with her what the Bible said about that. She agreed and we were able to preach Christ unto her. At the end of the conversation, she professed Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. Praise God for saving souls!

Special Projects and Needs Update | 25% of Our Goal Reached

We have raised about $4,000 of the $10,000 needed in our Church Planting Fund which covers the following cost: building rent for one year ($7,000); utilities, furniture, materials, misc. ($3,000). We have also raise about $6,000 of the $20,000 needed for our Reentry Setup Fund which covers the following cost: plane tickets for our family of seven ($6,000); housing cost for three months rent plus deposit ($4,000); visas and passport renewal ($2,000); furniture and appliances ($8,000=washer $1,000; refrigerator $800; air conditioners $1,200; deep freezer $500; hot water heater $500; living room furniture $1,500; bedroom furniture $1,000; kids’ beds $1,500). Altogether we have reached 25% of our total goal. Will you consider a one-time love offering of any amount ($100, $250, $500, $1,000, etc.) to help us reach these needs?

Prayer Requests and Praises | Returning to China and Safety in a Car Wreck

  • Lord Willing, we are returning to China on October 28th for our next term. We are at 95% of our target monthly support amount. Pray that the final amount of support comes in and for everything that takes place to transition our lives from “furlough” to “on the field”.
  • Praise the Lord for keeping me safe after hydroplaning on the highway, loosing control into the cable barrier in the median, and then being hit by another car this past month in Paducah, Kentucky during a thunderstorm. Also, since our last prayer letter, we had safe traveling mercies traveling to our meetings in: OH, WV, MO, and GA.
  • Praise for the local missions trip we hosted in Atlanta with Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church.

In His Joyful Service,

Mark
